Airbnb is seeking a Lead in Advanced Analytics for Global Markets Insights to support the VP of Global Markets and their regional and country teams. This role is pivotal in generating diagnostic insights across countries, local markets, travel corridors, and events to comprehend root cause drivers of pertinent business, financial, and customer metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Advanced Data Analysis: Extract actionable insights to inform strategic decisions across various geographical markets.
• Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the VP Global Markets and regional and country teams, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze broad data from both internal and external sources to drive understanding of conversion rate, average daily rate, profitability, and rebooking rate.
• Econometric and Statistical Analysis: Utilize econometric and statistical analysis to identify the root causes driving key business metrics and synthesize these insights at a higher level to aid prioritization.
• Benchmark Development: Develop and maintain benchmarks for key performance indicators across different markets to measure and track performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies.

Your Expertise

• Experience: 6+ years of industry experience with a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
• Advanced Analytics: Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting.
• Statistical Skills: Deep understanding of econometric and statistical analysis, and experience in applying these skills to derive insights from broad data sets.
• Business Acumen: Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
• Agility and Growth Mindset: An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.

Location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $155,000—$187,000 USD
• Additional Benefits: This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
