Job Description
We are seeking a Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team at CHAI: AI Platform, a leading generative AI startup based in Palo Alto. This role is pivotal in building and scaling our machine learning infrastructure from the ground up. You will be responsible for managing and expanding our engineering team, currently at 12 members, to 50 over the next 18 months.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning infrastructure.
- Lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient ML solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into production systems.
- Optimize and enhance the performance of existing ML models and infrastructure.
- Ensure the security and compliance of ML systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a leading academic institution.
- 3+ years of experience in backend engineering and building ML infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and Spark.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-impact decisions.
