Join Vizit as a Senior Python Back End Developer
We are seeking a talented Senior Python Engineer to join the Vizit Engineering Team. In this role, you will be a member of our core enterprise SaaS team building and expanding Vizit’s first-of-its-kind visual intelligence platform and image analysis services that are already in use by some of the biggest brands in the world. You’ll have a leadership role in the development and growth of our API, the scalable and efficient data storage paradigms we’re developing, and will work closely with our UX Engineering and Design teams to deliver world-class experiences to the customers of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, high-volume services and applications using Python.
- Develop efficient, secure, and scalable data architecture and best practices.
- Design and implement applications on top of serverless infrastructure, with AWS Lambda and SQS being a plus.
- Utilize event-driven architecture.
- Own and maintain complex software solutions and environments.
- Spec, design, and implement software solutions to meet business needs and opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with other business units to refine project specifications.
- Apply AWS tools and DevOps best practices.
- Implement automated deployments and CI/CD, with CDK experience being a plus.
- Work comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Apply test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.
- Utilize TypeScript and have data analysis experience with exposure to ML and CV libraries such as Tensorflow, Keras, Torch, and OpenCV.
Qualifications
- Expert in Python with proven ability to design and implement robust services.
- Experience with serverless infrastructure and event-driven architecture.
- Strong track record of maintaining complex software solutions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with AWS tools and DevOps best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments.
- Comfortable in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with TDD and TypeScript.
- Experience with data analysis and machine learning libraries is a plus.
