Overview
Join bp's Trading Analytics & Insight organization in Budapest as a Senior Python Developer - Core Strategist. This role is pivotal in transforming legacy Excel models to our strategic data science platform, Dataiku, enhancing our analytics capabilities.
Role Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with key analysts and commercial partners.
- Understand business requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Contribute globally to the Core Strategist field, defining technical excellence and best practices.
- Design and implement scalable, reusable components and frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with the company's technology strategy.
- Act as a Product Owner for strategic IT projects.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced Python programming skills for numerical data analysis.
- Experience with data manipulation and time series data.
- Proficiency in web technologies and integration with REST APIs.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with RDBMs.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Experience in data visualization using Plotly, Plotly Dash, and Power BI.
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, XML.
- Experience with data science platforms like DataIKU or Databricks.
- Knowledge of econometrics and time series forecasting.
- Object-oriented programming in languages like Java, C++, or C#.
- JavaScript or TypeScript programming, experience with React.js, Node.js/npm.
