About the Role
As a Senior Ruby Engineer, you will work collaboratively with a small, independent team to develop and maintain our all-in-one reservation system for holiday resorts. This system must handle high traffic at any time of the day, and your expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails will be crucial in ensuring its scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable software solutions across our diverse product range, including our reservation system, ParkCMS, and App Store.
- Deliver high-quality, well-designed code that can be built upon by users and colleagues.
- Analyze and solve complex problems throughout the entire stack.
- Continuously challenge yourself to grow and learn new skills.
Who We Are Looking For
- Expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails: You should be comfortable diving into the Ruby on Rails source code and contributing to open-source projects.
- Problem Solver: You can see the relationships between different projects and advise other engineers on solutions.
- Independent Worker: You can execute large refactors independently, often in consultation with your team.
- Open and Collaborative: You are approachable and can provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
