Wrapbook is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position open to candidates located in Canada. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our innovative payroll platform that serves the entertainment industry.
About the Role
In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for driving the development of core features from concept to production. You will collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to deliver elegant solutions to complex customer problems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Breaking down complex problems and ambiguous requirements into manageable tasks.
- Taking ownership of feature delivery from concept to production.
- Writing performant, scalable, and secure software.
- Reviewing code and providing mentorship to other developers.
- Ensuring code is well-tested and well-architected.
- Actively improving our tools, processes, and best practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong technical background with experience in building production web applications.
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and experience with building APIs.
- Ability to write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries, with PostgreSQL being a plus.
- Customer-focused with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
