Job Overview
Aklamio is seeking a Senior Ruby Backend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Berlin. This role is pivotal in enhancing our Incentive Platform, a key product that supports leading enterprises worldwide in enriching their marketing strategies with customer incentives.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development: Join one of our engineering teams to develop and improve our SaaS Incentive Platform. You will be responsible for leading feature initiatives and ensuring they deliver significant customer and business value.
- Technical Leadership: As a senior engineer, you will guide your teammates, ensuring the technical health of the systems your team owns. You will collaborate with other teams, such as Data and DevOps, to enhance our overall architecture and infrastructure.
- Problem Solving: Utilize your expertise in Ruby/Rails to solve complex problems, maintaining calm under pressure and delivering pragmatic solutions.
- Legacy System Management: Handle and modernize legacy systems, focusing on modularizing monolithic systems.
- Agile Practices: Work within agile development teams, frequently releasing updates with confidence.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: At least 5 years of backend development experience, particularly with Ruby/Rails.
- Technical Excellence: Proficient in various programming languages, frameworks, and tools, including Ruby on Rails, React, Docker, Gitlab CI, Prometheus, Sentry, Logstash, MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- Web Engineering: Strong understanding of web technologies and building secure, robust applications.
- Communication: Ability to discuss technical problems and solutions with team members and stakeholders effectively.
