Job Responsibilities

As a Senior AI/LLM Developer, you will play a critical technical role in our AI-focused professional services projects, leading the design, development, and deployment of large-scale AI systems. You will work on complex subsystems or oversee entire technical delivery teams. Responsibilities include:

• Scoping and estimation for AI projects
• Implementing best practices in AI/ML pipelines
• Ensuring data security and applying guardrails to prevent bias and unethical use of AI
• Building production-ready AI models and integrating them into educational systems
• Contributing to deployment architecture design, debugging AI systems, and advising on best practices for AI deployment, monitoring, and support

Required Skills and Experience

• 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting data science, data engineering, data mining, automated tutoring, and/or ML/AI-based solutions, preferably within the digital education domain
• Expertise in integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI systems into large-scale projects
• Proven track record in deploying and managing LLMs in production environments, utilizing OpenAI API and/or other relevant platforms
• Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning LLMs, and implementing model guardrails
• Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Daily work experience using standard Python data science packages and methodologies (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy)
• Experience with LLM tools such as OpenAI API, LiteLLM, and Ollama
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model training pipelines, monitoring, and model retraining
• Knowledge of third-party API management, including cost and performance optimization
• Understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in educational environments
• Strong hands-on programming skills in Python and SQL, using software engineering best practices
• Experience deploying AI-powered applications in AWS
