About the Role
Nasdaq is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Frameworks & Messaging team in Vilnius. This role involves delivering standardized platforms for both on-prem and cloud operations, focusing on backend, middleware, application frameworks, and operational frameworks. You will be part of a team responsible for supporting and enhancing our current platform, designing and developing new functionalities, and ensuring the highest performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop backend systems and products like frameworks and messaging solutions.
- Engage in the entire product lifecycle from design to development, automation, and support.
- Collaborate with engineers within Nasdaq and act as the team’s representative in the local office.
- Work in an agile environment to improve workflows and productivity.
- Contribute to all stages of the product life cycle: requirement, design, implementation, testing, deployment, automation, and support.
- Build and tune products for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid deployment.
Who You Are
- You have 8+ years of software development experience.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Strong experience in Java, high-performance transactional platforms, modern architecture, continuous integration/delivery, and automation.
- Experience with development tools such as Git and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Passionate about building great products and writing clean, beautiful code.
- Collaborative work style with a desire to contribute and learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial industry.
- Knowledge of low-level communication: sockets, protocols, event sequencing, high availability.
- Experience in C++ or willingness to learn.
- Experience working in an agile team.

Work Environment
This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius, Lithuania, with a hybrid work model allowing flexibility to work half a week on-site and remotely. A valid EU work permit is required.
