About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our team at BlackRock, focusing on the development of our firm's release system. This system is crucial for our firm-wide continuous integration and deployment processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on a scalable, high-quality distributed system and collaborating with colleagues from different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust release system for continuous integration and deployment across the firm.
- Collaborate with a global team to design and implement scalable and high-quality distributed systems.
- Ensure system reliability and efficiency through effective unit and integration testing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in CI/CD workflows and cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Java with 3+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in Spring and Maven.
- Strong understanding of Linux environments and scripting languages.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with Angular and Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python and Perl languages is desirable.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
- Knowledge of telemetry tools is advantageous.

Our Hybrid Work Model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
