About the Role

Nasdaq is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our team in Wrocław, Poland. This role is perfect for someone with a technical or functional background who is eager to learn and grow in the field of regulatory reporting and data management using the AxiomSL platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Reporting Templates: Build reporting templates based on regulatory requirements using the Nasdaq AxiomSL development environment. This involves data transformations (SQL-based), validations, and output files using MS Excel and similar applications.
• Analysis and Development: Analyze regulatory reporting requirements, develop report logic in AxiomSL proprietary software, and create report templates, electronic submission files, and validation rules.
• Testing and Documentation: Conduct unit-testing of report builds and create supporting technical documentation for delivery to end-users.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product and project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance engineers.
• Data Transformation: Analyze the structure of reporting templates and incoming data required for reporting. Develop algorithms for converting incoming data to a structure suitable for presenting and submitting report data.

What We Expect From You

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel is a must.
• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of database concepts, preferably Oracle or MS SQL Server. Basic understanding of the phases of SDLC and release management process.
• Experience: Experience in financial services, accounting, regulatory reporting, or FinTech is a huge advantage. Experience building client-facing products is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Must be a fast learner, excellent teammate, and collaborator. Strong written and verbal English in business and technical contexts.
