Job Overview
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Battle.net Data Team. This role involves working with one of the world's largest and most robust data pipelines, supporting analytics, operations, discovery, and machine learning across all Blizzard products and services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain large-scale distributed systems.
- Create unit and integration tests to ensure service reliability.
- Write API documentation for game developers and other integrators.
- Participate in on-call rotation to rapidly resolve live incidents.
- Coordinate with embedded and external teams to create technical design documents.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple levels of the stack.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, or C#.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Apache Flink.
- Experience building Big Data pipelines on private or public cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of highly scalable distributed software/services.

Work Environment
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid position, allowing for a blend of on-site and remote work. The primary location for this role is Irvine, CA.
