Team Spotlight: Ads Platform Engineering
The Ads Platform Engineering team builds advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world-class content delivery ecosystem. We leverage Netflix investments and innovations, including a unique mix of client and server-side ad insertions, state-of-the-art content delivery systems, ad encoding recipes, content understanding, and metadata. Our goal is to deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our member’s viewing experience and drive great outcomes for advertisers while ensuring advertiser brand safety.
Responsibilities
- Craft resilient, high-scale, low-latency microservices in production environments.
- Design and implement APIs using gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful standards.
- Develop software with Java, C#, or other OO programming languages, maintaining solid principles of OO design, concurrency, multi-threading, performance tuning, and observability.
- Translate business requirements into resilient data models to serve business process needs.
