At Coinbase, we are on a mission to increase economic freedom around the world. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Frontend team, specifically focusing on our OnRamp product. About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, primarily React.js. You will work closely with internal teams such as CBWallet and Retail Dapp Wallet, as well as external partners like Block (Bitkey), Metamask, Phantom wallet, and Ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and ship user-facing features using JavaScript and React.js.
- Design, build, scale, and maintain production services with a focus on reliability and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of our customers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in Web3 and blockchain.
Who You Are
- You have at least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development.
- You are a scrappy self-starter with a willingness to push through friction to improve customer UX.
- You have experience working fullstack across Web, Mobile, and Backend.
- You are passionate about Onchain/Web3 and have an understanding of blockchain technologies, particularly Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
- You have a "can do" attitude and are excited to be part of a winning team.
Nice to Haves
- Experience building on top of Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
- Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
- Experience with financial, high reliability, or security systems.

Salary Range
The target annual salary for this position is between $180,625 and $212,500 USD, depending on your work location. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits.
