Role Overview

As part of our Professional products portfolio, the Differentiate Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This team focuses on differentiating our B2B subscription from our B2C subscription by:

• Creating new features specifically tailored to help our users gain deeper insights from FT news.
• Providing tailored recommendations to our subscribers based on their job roles, industry, and interests.
• Driving engagement of our B2B subscription.

Responsibilities

• Work in a truly empowered, multi-functional product team guided by agile principles.
• Build products that help people analyze, understand, and connect around the most important issues affecting the world today.
• Cover the entire software development life-cycle in previous projects, from architecture to code, testing, continuous deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Learn and use a wide range of technologies and patterns required to build modern web products and services, e.g., CDNs, networking, cloud infrastructure, and databases.
• Mitigate security threats and develop tooling, monitoring, and engineering that enables highly fault-tolerant systems in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, Data Analysts, and User Researchers to improve and polish our products.
• Shape the culture of our team, promote knowledge sharing with your peers, and mentor other engineers.
