Job Overview
National Funding, a leading fintech company in the lending industry, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js to join our core software team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing new features and systems for our loan lifecycle management. You will work closely with the core architecture team to create high-quality software that enhances user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Backend Services: Focus on creating maintainable, testable, and reliable backend services, including REST APIs and Windows Services.
- Project Ownership: Take charge of entire projects or specific components, from initial system analysis to deployment.
- System Design: Collaborate with the architecture team to design simple yet effective systems for complex workflows.
- Platform Expansion: Enhance the core capabilities of our lending platform in line with our software architecture and development standards.
- Customer Experience Improvement: Lead development initiatives to improve customer interactions with our technology.
- Integration with Salesforce: Work with the Salesforce platform team to build deep integrations between our funding platform and Salesforce UI.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: 7+ years in software development, with at least 5 years in Node.js backend services.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in developing scalable and reliable backend services using AWS, Step Functions, and Lambdas. Experience with .NET 5-8 and Python is a plus.
- Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Testing and CI/CD: Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, and Cypress, and experience in a CI/CD environment.
- Agile Methodology: Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Location
This position is remote but limited to candidates residing in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
