Nexo Careers is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js to join our dynamic team in Sofia, Bulgaria. Responsibilities
- Produce Software: Design and implement software for distributed systems.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software components.
- Back-end Development: Work on the back-end components and services of Nexo’s platform using JavaScript, Kafka, microservices, and AWS.
- Code Quality: Maintain a well-tested codebase with continuous integration and coverage reporting.
- Optimization: Ensure maximum security, scalability, and speed of applications.
- Team Collaboration: Work in small, autonomous teams and share knowledge to evolve best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years in Software Engineering with Node.js.
- Languages: Proficiency in an additional object-oriented language such as C# or Java.
- Databases: Strong knowledge of relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Cloud Environments: Good understanding of modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Architecture: Familiarity with microservice architecture.
- Startup Environment: Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
Desired Skills
- Crypto-Economic Protocols: Familiarity with crypto-economic protocol design.
- Financial Systems: Experience in building systems for financial markets.
- Event Streaming: Experience with platforms like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS.
