Job Overview
Waabi is pioneering the next generation of self-driving technology with a focus on developing advanced simulation software. As a Senior Software Engineer in Simulation, you will play a crucial role in building reliable and scalable simulation tools and frameworks to support Autonomous Vehicle (AV) development. This position is ideal for someone passionate about AI, robotics, and software engineering, aiming to impact the future of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools to massively scale scenario generation.
- Build orchestration and control software.
- Participate in technical and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to understand user requirements and workflows.
- Propose new features to streamline and improve user experience with the simulator.
- Advocate for and set patterns for software development.
Qualifications
- MS/PhD or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field.
- Experience with Python, C++, or Rust.
- Experience in designing interfaces between systems and understanding test-driven and API-driven development methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience in game development or building simulators.
- Knowledge of software performance, optimization, and profiling.
- Familiarity with concurrency and determinism.
- Experience in parallel computing environments, autonomous systems, robotics, or machine learning.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and system design/architecture.
Additional Information
This role offers a competitive salary range of $109,000 - $200,000 USD per year, along with equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
