Waabi is pioneering the next generation of self-driving technology with a focus on developing advanced simulation software. As a Senior Software Engineer in Simulation, you will play a crucial role in building reliable and scalable simulation tools and frameworks to support Autonomous Vehicle (AV) development. Responsibilities
- Develop tools to massively scale scenario generation.
- Build orchestration and control software.
- Participate in technical and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to understand user requirements and workflows.
- Propose new features to streamline and improve user experience with the simulator.
- Advocate for and set patterns for software development.
Qualifications
- MS/PhD or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field.
- Experience with Python, C++, or Rust.
- Experience in designing interfaces between systems and understanding test-driven and API-driven development methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience in game development or building simulators.
- Knowledge of software performance, optimization, and profiling.
- Familiarity with concurrency and determinism.
- Experience in parallel computing environments, autonomous systems, robotics, or machine learning.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and system design/architecture.
Additional Information
This role offers a competitive salary range of $109,000 - $200,000 USD per year, along with equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
