Senior HIL Design & Simulation Engineer

About the Role
As a Senior HIL (Hardware-in-Loop) Design & Simulation Engineer at Gatik, you will be instrumental in developing controls for production settings and integrating these controls in real-world environments. This role demands establishing production software development guidelines and adopting best practices in autonomous vehicle (AV) software development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HiL pipeline on simulation platforms for real-world scenarios.
- Extend HiL systems for actuation and sensor testing to facilitate ECU and component testing.
- Establish an end-to-end cloud simulation pipeline for orchestrating simulation tests.
- Integrate HiL simulation toolchain into existing requirements network.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in HiL design in the automotive industry, preferably with autonomous experience.
- Proficiency in HiL, TruckSim/ADP suite, dSPACE, vehicle dynamics, and controls.
- Strong background in Matlab/Simulink.
- Familiarity with safety standards like ISO26262, SOTIF.
- Preliminary knowledge of C, CMake, Python, ROS2, C++, and Gitlab CI/CD.
- Basic knowledge of mechatronics and electromechanics of a vehicle.
