Job Description
Join MongoDB as a Software Engineer on the Atlas Search Web team, where you will be instrumental in building user interfaces for Atlas Search. This role involves designing and implementing customer-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks and languages such as React, Next.js, and Java. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance the user experience of MongoDB's Atlas Search platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and products using client and server-side JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Java.
- Product and Architecture Discussions: Participate actively in discussions to shape the product and its architecture.
- Software Delivery: Own component-level software delivery, including setting and meeting milestones and communicating with stakeholders.
- Requirements Gathering: Capture requirements and define the scope of work for new software components and significant improvements, with guidance from senior engineers and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with a team of engineers who are passionate about solving customer problems and implementing great software solutions.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in application development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern programming languages and techniques, preferably TypeScript (client and server) and Java. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably React and Next.js.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of effectively working with and building consensus among stakeholders across job functions.
- Problem Solving: Experience in diagnosing and mitigating customer-impacting issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including technical writing.

Location
This role can be based out of MongoDB's San Francisco office with a hybrid work model or remotely in the Americas.
