The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer (VR Generalist), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our VR client applications. Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding the technical implementation of new features to enhance our health and fitness VR platform, Supernatural.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to push the boundaries of what's possible on mobile VR headsets.
- Optimizing and scaling the application to accommodate a rapidly growing user base.
- Participating in engineering process improvements.
- Mentoring team members and fostering an environment of growth and excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and continuous enhancement of our live VR products.
- Design robust architectures for dynamic content updates and complex UI/state machines.
- Engage with the latest advancements in software and hardware to keep our offerings at the cutting edge.
- Ensure the delivery of high-performance, maintainable code that meets all project specifications.
About You
- You hold a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or possess equivalent experience.
- You have at least 8 years of experience in a relevant engineering role, with a proven track record in scalable live product development.
- You are proficient in Unity, Unreal, or other game engines, and have extensive experience with C#, C++, or Java.
- Experience in developing for VR headsets and familiarity with the .NET ecosystem outside of Unity is highly desirable.
Location & Work Hours
Our offices are currently closed due to COVID-19. Post-pandemic, you will have the flexibility to work from home or from our offices, based on your preference. We operate within the Pacific time zone for collaboration purposes.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 annually. This is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance.
