About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Mollie, based in our Lisbon Tech Hub, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial products and services. Your main responsibility will be to enhance the Merchant Experience by ensuring our APIs are not only scalable but also performant, adhering to the highest security standards.
What You'll Do
- Tackle Scalability Challenges: Focus on optimizing latency for critical API endpoints to ensure they respond in just a few milliseconds.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our Security team to maintain and enhance security measures across all platforms.
- Design and Maintain Systems: Build and sustain APIs, services, and systems that support the internal teams at Mollie, contributing to our robust infrastructure.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in developing large-scale web applications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, with a preference for PHP. Experience with modern queuing and caching systems like RabbitMQ and Redis is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience in designing large-scale systems focusing on performance, scalability, and latency.
- Background in Google Cloud Platform or DevOps is a plus.
