This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our next-generation financial APIs and payment platforms, which are crucial for the daily operations of tens of thousands of merchants and consumers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure Smooth Operations: Work on critical payment-related services to ensure they run smoothly.
- Quality and Design: Focus on quality and well-designed user experiences for both engineers and non-engineers.
- System Reliability: Design and implement systems for failure, ensuring high reliability and security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with system and software engineers to ship new products, maintaining a balance between frequent shipping and high system reliability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders to set and maintain SLOs and SLAs that meet business and merchant needs.
- Infrastructure Development: Partner with teams to build and maintain infrastructure for integration applications connecting Mollie to our partner platforms.
What You Have
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in running and operating highly available systems.
- Skills: Proficient with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud systems, and a high-level programming language like Go, Python, Ruby, or PHP.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Improve deployment processes and reduce risks.
- Large-Scale Applications: Handle large-scale applications and plan for fast-growing systems.
- Automation and Systems Design: Build and maintain automation and systems that minimize downtime.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use data to make informed decisions and improve system reliability.
