Software Engineer II - Partnerships
Mollie is on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Partnerships team in Milan. This role is pivotal in building the future of embedded finance, enabling platforms to transform their business models and accelerate growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Iterate from idea to solution: Shape, build, test, and measure features that our customers will love.
- Challenge and contribute: Engage in idea exchanges and contribute your own insights to improve our products.
- Enhance our tech: Work with a community of engineers to raise the quality of our platform and contribute to company-wide architecture and technology practices.
Our Architecture
Mollie’s frontend landscape consists of multiple apps optimized for specific purposes, such as our merchant dashboard and API documentation. Our apps are generally written in TypeScript using React. Our backend system is primarily written in PHP and hosted on Google Cloud, with many adjacent services built in Java (Spring Boot).
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in developing large-scale web applications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP is preferred, with additional experience in languages like Go, Java, and Python being a plus.
- Architecture Knowledge: Familiarity with service-oriented architecture patterns and scalable systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with PHP, Java, TypeScript, React(.Native), and Google Cloud Platform.
- Background in Payments, FinTech, or large-scale B2B SaaS.
- Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience mentoring other engineers.
