As an Associate Software Engineer in the Payments domain, you will contribute to developing and maintaining software solutions that facilitate secure, efficient, and seamless payment processing. What You Will Be Doing
- Contributing to the development of robust foundations for our payments ecosystem.
- Assisting in the creation of innovative, scalable, and high-quality software in PHP.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and data analysts to develop features at scale.
- Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of APIs, services, and systems across the engineering teams.
- Learning to evaluate and solve complex technical challenges under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Growing your skills and knowledge rapidly while contributing to impactful projects.
What You'll Bring
- A foundational knowledge of PHP is essential; experience with other languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Enthusiasm for building scalable systems and an interest in learning about software architecture and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to tackle new challenges.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform or similar.
- An understanding of distributed systems or event-streaming concepts.
- Exposure to or interest in Payments or FinTech sectors.
- Experience in service migrations (e.g., from monoliths to microservices) or an eagerness to learn about architectural trade-offs.
