About Ethena Labs
Ethena Labs is at the forefront of building the first ETH-based yield-bearing synthetic dollar. With a team that boasts deep experience in both traditional finance and crypto engineering, Ethena Labs is backed by major exchanges and trading entities in the crypto space. Our mission is to create a synthetic dollar that is not reliant on existing banking infrastructure, which we believe is the most significant opportunity in crypto today.
What We Are Building
We are developing derivative infrastructure to transform Ethereum into the Internet Bond via delta-neutral derivatives positions, creating the first crypto-native, yield-bearing synthetic dollar: sUSDe. This will be part of a broader ecosystem of products, including fixed and floating rate internet bonds and composable repo leveraged markets.
The Role: Senior Web3 Engineer
As a Senior Web3 Engineer, you will be a key player in our engineering team, working on our React Web3 application that enables users to mint and stake USDe. You will also work on our off-chain backend Python infrastructure, which manages custody positions, routes orders, and more.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our React Web3 application.
- Work with custody and exchange providers to build information on the solvency and equity positions of internal accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including smart contract back-end engineers.
- Mentor team members to refine their technical and architectural skills.
- Push the boundaries of DeFi design with creative solutions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of full-stack, modern JavaScript: React and Typescript.
- Proficient in Python and experience with GraphQL.
- Experience with NextJS and TailwindCSS.
- Strong design sense and attention to detail.
- Expert knowledge of Web3 libraries and tools like Viem, Wagmi, and The Graph.
- Understanding of concepts like caching, edge functions, and RPC providers.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
