Overview
Microsoft is seeking multiple Software Engineers to join the Azure PostgreSQL team. This role involves defining and implementing technologies to address new enterprise and cloud challenges, contributing to Microsoft's mission of empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural discussions, create proposals, and test design hypotheses.
- Produce maintainable code and lead by example within the team.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Drive the development and refinement of tests to improve code quality and stability.
- Maintain operations of live services on a rotational, on-call basis.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience building and supporting distributed cloud services.
Preferred
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar enterprise database management systems.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
