Job Description
Join Microsoft's M365 COSMIC team as a Software Engineer II, where you will be part of a dynamic group that designs, builds, and operates a global scale managed-runtime environment based on Azure Kubernetes Service. This role is pivotal in enhancing developers' productivity and effectiveness by focusing on engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Drive the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements and leverage various feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Review team members' code to ensure it meets quality standards, is reliable, and appropriate for the scale of the product or solution area. Apply feedback to current and future iterations.
- Experimentation and Testing: Lead the creation and conducting of experiments to determine the effectiveness of changes, monitor developments for prototyping and testing products, and interpret results from experimentation.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Rust, or Python.
- Security Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

The team works on a broad range of projects, from autonomous continuous delivery to runtime configuration management.
