Job Overview
Join the Microsoft Azure Storage team as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to the design, development, and operation of our cloud-scale storage solutions. This role involves working on a massively scalable, highly distributed, and ubiquitously accessible storage system, Microsoft Azure Storage, which is designed to scale out and serve the entire world.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, low latency, and high throughput cloud services and frameworks.
- Stress test storage backends and integrate complex and critical cloud-scale storage features.
- Analyze system behavior and health under different load conditions to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with peer teams and external partners to meet target availability, security, and reliability standards.
- Drive quality initiatives across the organization to streamline release processes and enhance product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
- 3+ years of experience in testing systems at a large scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Passion for large-scale storage, high-quality code, and distributed systems.
- Proficient in software engineering practices and foundational knowledge in data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, and analytical skills.
