Job Overview
Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is seeking a Software Engineer I, Cloud to join our dynamic team. As a software engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cloud-based solutions that aim to make roads safer by improving driver behavior. This position is ideal for a collaborative, customer-focused, and creative individual with a proactive mindset.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the team by following proper software development procedures and methodologies.
- Assist in solving complex problems and transforming them into business solutions.
- Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
- Engage in full-stack design and development with a focus on maintainability, usability, scalability, and performance.
- Analyze and translate business and functional specifications into technical specifications.
- Provide support for occasional production issues.
- Adhere to the company's development and operational standards and processes.
- Complete additional tasks as they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems.
- Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
- Experience with general development tasks on Linux.
- Some professional engineering experience is preferred.
- Experience with Python, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
- Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies, specifically Docker.
- Experience in developing web applications, including HTTP REST backend and React frontend.
- Ability to commute to our Cambridge, MA office 3 days per week.
