Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Payments and Banking platform team at State Street. This role is crucial as we undergo several changes to meet strategic and client needs. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in web application development using Java, Node.js, and Oracle. Experience with cash position management systems or payment initiation systems is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Excellence: Independently analyze, design, develop, test, and debug code for cash position management/payment initiation applications.
- Development: 3-5 years of experience developing financial applications with test-driven development using Java/J2EE, CI/CD practices, and tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
- Cloud Solutions: Participate in the analysis, design, and delivery of cloud-based web applications.
- Full Stack Development: Develop and maintain frontend, middle-tier, and backend modules using Java, Spring web services, MQ, Kafka, SQL, and cloud technologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, architects, and end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with both on-shore and off-shore teams to develop application solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience using J2EE, Java, and SQL.
- Certified Java Professional is a plus.
