Senior Full-Stack Application Engineer (Java, Angular, Node.js)

Job Overview

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Application Engineer to join our Institutional Investor Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves advanced system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. You will work under general direction to provide technical leadership and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• System Analysis and Development: Provide senior-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrate third-party products and translate technical specifications into code for complex projects.
• Software Development: Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports. Employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.
• Project Management: Elevate code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provide follow-up production support and submit change control requests and documents.
• Mentorship: Train and mentor staff with less experience and resolve elevated issues.
• Collaboration: Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Explain technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients.
• Compliance: Thoroughly understand and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures, and verify that deliverables meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Java, Angular, and Node.js.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Technical leadership experience in end-to-end development (UI, Services, testing, and Monitoring).
• AWS Cloud experience (ECS, EKS, and Lambda).
• Familiarity with agile development and unit/e2e tests.
• Experience modernizing UI and data applications.
• Experience in REST and GraphQL APIs.
