We are seeking experienced Senior and Staff level Software Engineers to join our dynamic team at Close. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA. If you are passionate about backend development and have a strong background in Python, we want to hear from you!

Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, 100% remote company with a team of around 90 thoughtful individuals. We are dedicated to creating a CRM that enhances communication without the hassle of manual data entry or complex UI. Our mission is to double the productivity of every sales representative.

Our Tech Stack

Our backend is primarily built with Python Flask web apps, and we use TaskTiger for asynchronous task processing. Our data stores include MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services like EKS, MSK, RDS, and ElasticCache. Our CI/CD pipelines build Docker images, run automated tests, and deploy to Kubernetes clusters. We also use Terraform and Ansible for automation.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and scale major systems and user-facing features.
Work with a small, talented team in a fast-paced environment.
Manage your time effectively and collaborate in a fully distributed team.
Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in building modern back-end systems.
Proficiency in Python or a strong desire to work with Python.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or similar data stores.
Experience in designing, scaling, debugging, and optimizing systems.
Located in the USA.

Bonus Points

Open source contributions related to our tech stack.
Experience leading small project teams.
Experience with B2B SaaS products.
Familiarity with complex architectures supporting multiple APIs.
