Your Role: Staff Frontend Engineer

As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will take ownership of the frontend technology stack and be a key contributor in the technical roadmap process. You will drive technical innovation to grow scalability, security, and performance optimizations. You will take responsibility and lead larger technical projects involving other communities like backend, cloud, or QA. Cultivating technical excellence in the team by promoting best practices, being a mentor, observing the code quality, and designing sound and reusable frontend architectures are key responsibilities. You will solve complex technical challenges to ensure robustness and performance of the platform while building elegant and future-proof solutions. Additionally, you will represent and guide the Frontend Community to foster communication, collaboration, and efficient decision-making processes.

What You'll Need

• Degree in computer science, completed training as an IT specialist, or comparable knowledge from practical experience
• At least 8 years of experience with frontend software development
• Excellent knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular (or similar framework), Redux, HTML5, and (S)CSS
• Advanced knowledge of Design Systems, Jest, and Cypress
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Basic understanding of the frontend technologies landscape and interest and passion to learn and experiment with new technologies
• Participation in architectural discussions in all stages, such as initial planning, implementation, as well as refactoring
• A “you build it, you run it”-mentality
• The ability to work autonomously and in a result-oriented way
