Join Microsoft as a Frontend Software Engineer
Microsoft is seeking talented Frontend Software Engineers to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland. As part of our Engineering teams, you will work on cutting-edge technologies and platforms that power mission-critical services used by billions of users worldwide. Our teams tackle some of the most challenging engineering problems, contributing to products like Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and more.
Responsibilities
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, designers, and partners to deliver features with the right design and architecture.
- Own and deliver complete feature areas and large-scale solutions, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and shipping with secure long-term support.
- Act as a technical leader, sharing insights and best practices to improve development and influence direction across related systems and platforms.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior engineers, helping them identify and propose relevant solutions.
- Write clean, well-thought-out code with an emphasis on quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, reusability, and maintainability.
- Commit to delivering the best experience for our customers and partners, iterating based on feedback.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive culture, participating in hiring where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for the reliable operation of features, ensuring early detection of issues in production.
- Use a data-driven approach to analyze and prioritize business requirements, including customer feedback.
- Expose test coverage issues, organize, and implement necessary tests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including C/C++, C#, Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with modern web technologies such as .NET, Node, React, Angular, and building RESTful APIs.
- Skilled in building libraries, SDKs, and other development platform components.
- Strong industry experience in designing, developing, testing, and shipping solutions to large-scale technical problems.
- Ability to design and develop loosely coupled, componentized, and durable software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Experience in Agile, DevOps, building microservices, and Mobile is a plus.
