Canva is on a mission to empower the world to design, and we're looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our User Voice team. This role is pivotal in developing AI/ML strategies to enhance the customer support experience through innovative natural language processing systems.

What You’d Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Partner with leadership to develop an AI/ML roadmap.
- Be accountable for the delivery of key projects in User Voice.
- Lead the ML development of a natural language understanding system that integrates with Canva's products.
- Collaborate with other Machine Learning Engineers across the organization.
You're Probably A Match If
- You have over 5 years of industry experience in a machine learning/software engineering role within a Product/SaaS company.
- You possess strong coding skills in Python and are familiar with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Langchain, and Huggingface.
- You have experience with RAG architectures or have a good understanding of its applications.
- Your background includes working in Customer Support and/or Business Process Automation.
- You excel in collaboration and have strong communication skills, enjoying mentoring other engineers.
