What You'll Do

As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will lead our site reliability practices with a strong background in distributed systems architecture and high scale cloud backends. Your main responsibilities will include:

Improving reliability and evolving our infrastructure
Being hands-on in our stack, driving challenging platform initiatives
Scaling up our infrastructure together with our backend engineers
Influencing the development of our cloud architecture roadmap and code-based infrastructure management ("Infrastructure as code")
Defining observability of our backend platform
Optimizing performance and reducing error rates
Working directly with our VP of Engineering to have reliability baked into everything we do
Identifying valuable infrastructure initiatives, communicating them clearly, and bringing them from idea to production

What You Should Have

Background of technical leadership driving engineering excellence
Experience in building, scaling or managing production web services
Deep working experience with AWS, SQL & OLAP databases and Node.js
First-hand experience with SRE practices: SLOs/SLAs, modern incident management, etc.
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment
