Overview
Upbound, a pioneering company in cloud computing, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Cloud Services team. This role is pivotal in scaling Upbound to support thousands of control planes and integrating enterprise features such as single sign-on, Git integration, audit logs, disaster recovery, and more. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our flagship SaaS offering, Upbound Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Build and Scale Upbound Cloud: Take ownership of building features in high demand by our customers and deliver new functionality that will delight and amaze our users.
- Feature Development: Actively participate in the development of new features from concept to deployment, ensuring they meet business and user needs.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team, promoting best practices in software development and ensuring high-quality code.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations to support Upbound Cloud, addressing and resolving critical issues as they arise.
Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Go and Kubernetes: Strong experience in Go programming and extensive knowledge of Kubernetes are essential for this role.
- Microservices Architecture: Experience with designing and implementing microservices architectures is crucial.
- CI/CD Practices: Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery practices is required.
- Problem Solving: Ability to tackle complex problems and provide innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
