Overview
Guideline is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to enhance our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building full stack software solutions and improving the financial industry through technology. You will be part of a distributed team, working remotely, and contributing to our mission of making retirement savings accessible and affordable.
What You Will Work On
- Scope projects and design systems architecture for usability and scaling our products.
- Utilize your expertise in backend languages like Ruby or Python and frontend frameworks like React to develop full stack solutions.
- Implement message queuing infrastructure and streamline operations to enhance system performance.
- Collaborate with a team of passionate technologists to automate administrative tasks and create unique solutions for user problems.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in building consumer-facing software products.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technical direction for a team of engineers.
- Proficiency in backend languages (Ruby, Python) and frontend frameworks (React).
- Experience with modern databases, scalable APIs, and designing delightful user interfaces.
- Familiarity with distributed systems environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP.

- Competitive salary range: $158,000 - $274,500 annually based on location and experience.
