About the Role
Tenable is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our UI-based Vulnerability Management Applications development team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based, state-of-the-art solutions for Vulnerability Management. You will work on creating scalable and reliable cloud-native user interfaces and underlying microservices using modern technologies and programming languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of single-page applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on React.js and JavaScript visualization libraries.
- API Integration: Utilize RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality and performance.
- Cloud-Native Solutions: Work with cloud-native data stores and data processing systems to support application scalability and reliability.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Coach and lead mid-level and junior staff in the design, implementation, and execution of technical development projects.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to iterate on product features and drive consensus.

Qualifications
- Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science or a directly related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of software development experience, including leading cross-functional projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in developing single-page applications, experience with React.js, and familiarity with cloud-native technologies.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a mindset of continuous learning and improvement.
Location
This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a hybrid work model allowing for remote work flexibility.
Salary
The base pay range for this position is €141,000 to €188,000 annually, with potential for additional variable compensation based on performance.
