About the Role
Flexport is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor for Bill Processing to join our rapidly growing team in Amsterdam. As a Bill Processing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing a team responsible for processing vendor bills, auditing for accuracy, and handling disputes with vendors. This position requires a strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry and excellent leadership skills to guide a team of offshore associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Billing Processes: Oversee the processing of vendor bills, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Audit and Dispute Resolution: Conduct audits on bills and manage disputes with vendors to ensure fair and accurate billing practices.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of offshore associates, providing guidance, setting tasks, and managing performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to identify opportunities for improving billing practices and processes.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Partner with vendors to enhance billing practices and resolve inquiries.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in the freight forwarding industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Ocean, Trucking, Air, and Partner contracts is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Leadership: Ability to coach and develop team members to achieve results.
- Problem Solving: Courage to challenge the status quo and implement solutions to improve processes.
