Job Description
EngiFlex is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Brussels, Belgium, focusing on the pharmaceutical industry. This role involves supporting production in automation and software development, coordinating with experts to optimize software and hardware, and ensuring design intent and cost-effectiveness. You will liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, support the team in Digital Twins development, and conduct design reviews and troubleshooting investigations.
Key Responsibilities

- Optimize software and hardware for cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Participate in Digital Twins development.
- Conduct design reviews and troubleshooting investigations.
- Provide machine troubleshooting support to end-users.
- Integrate latest developments into current roadmap.
- Establish technical documentation and training materials.
- Independently analyze and report data to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to address interdisciplinary challenges.
- Contribute to product roadmap by exploring new design concepts and technologies.
- Develop performance and qualification procedures for automation platforms.
- Define continuous improvement strategies.
- Provide introductory equipment training.
Your Profile
- Degree in electro-mechanic engineering, process automation, robotics, or related field.
- Experience with automation platforms such as TECAN, Hamilton, or Siemens.
- Experience in lab instrument support or process automation in the vaccines or biopharm industry.
- Good understanding of biopharm/vaccine development process is a plus.
- Expertise in Commissioning and Validation of automation systems.
- Understanding of device networking and communications protocols.
- Experience writing protocols in Evoware & Venus software is a nice-to-have.
- Experience in installing & servicing large integrated systems.
- Experience in automation controller and process control - PLCs, Microcontroller.
- Knowledge of GAMP 5 is a plus.
