Job Overview

As a Tech Lead for Business Platform Operations at Royal Schiphol Group, you will play a pivotal role in bridging technology with business needs. Your primary responsibility will be to create a technical roadmap for Business Platform Operations, ensuring that it aligns with both current and future business requirements and technological innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Establish a strong technical vision and resolve technical disagreements. Manage the technical quality of team deliverables.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and external stakeholders to foster an environment of innovation. Guide teams in taking smart risks and learning from failures.
• Strategy Development: Create, implement, and take ownership of the BPO strategy from a technical perspective. Collaborate with architects and tech leads from other IT & Data departments to ensure optimal alignment with company-wide architectural principles.
• Advisory Role: Support engineering teams in continuously evaluating and improving development and infrastructure standards and processes.
• Project Design: Design strategies for future development projects and participate in transition and migration projects.

About Business Platform Operations

The Business Platform Operations department is responsible for all IT, Digital, and Data solutions that enable Schiphol Operations. The goal is to contribute to excellent aviation performance by ensuring efficient and fast airport processes.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 8+ years in a senior development position with a strong technical background.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to guide technical experts within BPO and inspire them in technical knowledge and personal growth.
• Technical Skills: Experience with a tech stack including Angular, Typescript, Python, Java, and/or Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical partners and communicate effectively in a complex stakeholder landscape.

Benefits

• Salary: € 5552 to € 7803 gross per month (Schaal 14).
• Additional Compensation: A 13th month (year-end bonus).
• Work Schedule: Possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
• Pension: Participation in the ABP pension fund.
