Job Description
The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to play a crucial role in the onboard technology OFE (owner furnished equipment) deployment during the delivery of the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. This position is based in Papenburg, Germany, and requires full on-site presence.
Responsibilities
- Deployment: Collaborate with technical inspectors and project managers to ensure timely equipment loading. Identify deficiencies, alert stakeholders, and present remediation steps. Assist with accurate reporting for daily leadership reports and dashboards. Route technology issues to appropriate teams for troubleshooting. Design and utilize documentation for efficient stakeholder access.
- Logistics: Maintain an updated schedule for equipment loading. Coordinate storage spaces across the ship for hardware. Ensure resources are available for moving hardware. Update logistics paperwork to track hardware status. Keep storage locations clean and compliant with US Coast Guard guidelines.
- Additional Tasks: Prepare Disney Cruise Line user IDs to support vendors and other departments during vessel commissioning.
Basic Qualifications
- Comfortable and eager to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding timelines.
- Strong creative problem-solving and remediation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the cruise line industry.
Required Education
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within the past 12 months, from an accredited college/university, earning a degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Project Management, or a similar field, or related work experience.
