Responsibilities

As a Tax Seasonal Intern, you will:

Work closely with other groups firmwide in Washington National Tax (WNT) to provide tax advice to a full range of business clients, including major multinational clients.
Research complex corporate and partnership tax issues.
Draft tax memoranda, outlines, and slides for speeches.
Help draft articles and other items for both internal and external distribution.
Assist in developing tools, templates, and spreadsheets for firmwide SALT professionals.
Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a JD or LLM in Taxation, or an equivalent program.
Preferred areas of study include Accounting and Taxation.
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
Excellent research skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.
Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to work locations using personal or public transportation.
Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
