About the Role
As a Tech Lead Manager in the Organic Acquisition, User Growth team at TikTok, you will lead and grow a business engineering team of 10+ backend and frontend engineers. You will leverage data to understand our users and our content system in-depth, identify areas of opportunity, and execute projects to drive user growth. You will also lead the development of large-scale software systems that power TikTok's user acquisition strategies and improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 10+ backend and frontend engineers to build a solid foundation for user growth.
- Leverage data to understand our users and content system, identify opportunities, and execute growth-driving projects.
- Develop large-scale software systems for user acquisition.
- Improve system design and architecture for high stability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.
Qualifications
- Experience in building services for large-scale consumer-facing applications, preferably in search and social media.
- Proficiency in languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C++.
- Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years experience leading a backend/full-stack engineering team.
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major.
