Responsibilities
TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. The User Growth team at TikTok leads growth initiatives with a data-driven and results-focused engineering and product mindset. In the Organic Acquisition, User Growth team, you will collaborate with external traffic platforms to provide TikTok's high-quality content and services for brand impression and click conversion, thereby obtaining high-quality user traffic. You will lead technical directions such as content mining, content understanding, web UI presentation strategies, and design A/B testing frameworks to measure the contribution of these technologies to traffic acquisition.
Role Overview
As a Tech Lead Manager, you will lead and grow a business engineering team of 10+ backend and frontend engineers to build a solid foundation for user growth. You will leverage data to understand our users and our content system in-depth, identify areas of opportunity, and execute projects to drive user growth. You will also lead and develop large-scale software systems that power TikTok user acquisition strategies and improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product. Collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams is essential to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.
Qualifications
- Experienced in building services for large-scale consumer-facing applications, preferably in search and social media.
- Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.
- Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years experience leading a backend/full-stack engineering team.
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major.
