About Post Trade Accounting (PTA)

Qualifications/ Competencies

• B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• 4+ years of hands-on object oriented programming experience in Java
• 4+ years of experience with Open Source tools (Spring, Hibernate, Apache, Maven, JUnit, etc.)
• 3+ years’ experience with relational database development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling). Sybase experience preferred.
• Experience on frameworks like Angular, React, Node.js, Typescript is a plus

Good To Have

• Experience with at least one NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and one scripting language (Perl/Python)
• Experience with cloud native development (Kubernetes, Docker), open source publish-subscribe frameworks like Apache Kafka.
• Enthusiasm and ability to work in a team-environment, multi-tasking, collaboration and effective communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in financial markets is preferred.

Salary and Benefits

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $132,500 - $157,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our Hybrid Work Model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
