Full Stack Developer - Web Tech Product Data Engineering

About This Role

Join BlackRock's Web Tech Engineering team as a Full Stack Developer. Our team is responsible for maintaining a robust software technology platform that supports over 100 public-facing websites under the blackrock.com and ishares.com domains. These sites serve millions of visitors monthly, providing comprehensive data on investment funds and facilitating thousands of content updates and document uploads daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in multi-functional feature requirements gathering, design, and implementation.
• Assist in all phases of large-scale projects, including development, testing, and maintenance, while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Engage in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for software components and systems.

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend or frontend development.
• Experience with Python and/or a JVM-based language, preferably Java.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and time management abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for understanding existing systems.

Nice To Have

• Understanding of Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, J2EE, etc.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Solid understanding of Java and Spring framework, as well as Git, Maven or Gradle, and Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with software containerization platforms like Docker or Kubernetes.

Our Hybrid Work Model
