Job Overview

Delta Air Lines is seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer to join our Information Technology department in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is pivotal in our ongoing transformation to enhance our business operations through innovative IT solutions. As part of our team, you will contribute to building and implementing modernized business applications using agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, prototyping, and demonstrating new SaaS features and components for both front-end and back-end.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure developed code aligns with their vision.
• Develop and implement modernized specialized business applications, deploying to development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Align with Security/Compliance frameworks and controls requirements.
• Write automated tests and code, and fix problems from development through production phases.
• Generate daily reports for the Finance and Treasury business.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or related technical engineering capacity.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE framework, object-oriented programming, JSON, Python, XML, XSLT, and HTML.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies is required.
• Basic knowledge of SaaS platforms like SAP SuccessFactors and AWS is highly preferred.
• Awareness of Application Security principles or formal training in Information Security is required.
• Familiarity with data transformation tools like Informatica, SAS, and Oracle is highly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience with DevOps principles, practices, and tools in an enterprise technology environment.
• Knowledge of software within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure or other cloud solutions.
